Sound familiar?
- "It runs on a server under someone's desk, and the person who wrote it left years ago."
- "We can't move off the old Windows version, because the system won't run on anything newer."
- "Every small change costs a fortune, because nobody dares touch it."
What we deliver
- An assessment of what the system actually does — usually rather more than the documentation admits
- Like-for-like first: reproduce the current behaviour before improving on it
- Piece-by-piece migration, new running alongside old, so there is no big-bang weekend
- Automated tests written against the existing behaviour, so you can prove nothing broke
- A supported platform: current framework versions, a real deployment pipeline, monitoring
- The option to stop at any point and still have something that works
"Rewrite" is the most expensive word in software
A full rewrite is occasionally the right answer and usually not. It throws away years of accumulated business logic — including the strange-looking rules that turn out to encode something real.
We look first at what can be kept. If a rewrite genuinely is the cheaper path, we will show you the working that led there rather than simply assert it.
